  • Abstract
The Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) is an effective and flexible mechanism with huge market development potential to reduce global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while supporting sustainable development in developing country. This thesis first introduced the background of China promotes the clean development mechanism (CDM), as well as the CDM methodology, moreover has done the research through the ACM0002 baseline methodology to the Jilin Taonan wind farm project, has calculated the emissions factor of Northeast China Grid and annual emissions reduction of the CDM project, and has carried on the investment analysis and the sensitive analysis to the CDM project and so on assessment of additionality. Final results show that the cost of wind power generation, although is higher than thermal power generation, but as zero emissions clean energy, wind power CDM project can obtain emission reduction benefits, while also slowing global warming.
