Abstract :
A new pole-mounted transformer monitoring system based on the remote communication technologies is introduced in this paper, and the system´s main structure, function and primary technical parameters are given. The authors analyze and conclude the applications of the monitoring system in line loss reduction of 10kV transmission lines, 220/380V distribution network and 10kV pole-mounted transformers in detail. The practical examples validate the utility and feasibility of the monitoring system in decreasing the energy loss in LV distribution network, which provides the statistical basis for the precision management of line loss, reconstruction of LV distribution network and rational deployment of pole-mounted transformers.
