Abstract
In recent years, for environment concerns and possible shortage of traditional energy resources, renewable energy has received more attention around the globe. Wind generation is one of the most mature technologies among all renewable resources. Many new wind farms employ wind turbines based on doubly-fed induction generators (DFIG), which offer several advantages compared with fixed-speed generators. In practical, proportion-integrated (PI) control strategy is widely used for DFIG, but how to set the coefficients of PI controller is still an interesting problem. In this paper the internal model controller (IMC) is introduced to design the parameters of the PI controllers for DFIG. Detailed design processes are described and simulation result is given to show the validation of the control strategy.
