  • Abstract
Toxic heavy metals in soil are global problems, due to their hazards to ecosystem and human health. There are seldom researches on risk early warning system of heavy metal pollution. In this paper, a framework of early warning system for pollution risk of heavy metals in soil , combining remote sensing technology and geographic information system. Its purpose is to enable the user of the warning system to prepare for the danger and act accordingly to mitigate against or avoid it. This system includes for subsystems: heavy metal monitoring, land use change modeling, heavy metal accumulation dynamic simulation and risk warning subsystems. A case study indicate that this framework of early warning system not only predict the process of heavy metal accumulation processes, but also could provide valuable information for related decision makers.
