Abstract
The urban transportation ontology is created and stored in a relational database by abstracting and analyzing the traffic information. The semantic reasoning mechanism based on Jena and the issues involved were analyzed comparatively. The potential relative semantic results are obtained by achieving the function of semantic query and path search in the platform of Jena, which applying the reasoning rules. Algorithm is described in detail and experimental results are given. In this paper we present an ontology-based approach for semantic query and discuss how ontologies can support the tasks of a rule-based search process.
