SaaS-U within a service and application intermediary business model in regional healthcare

The aim of this paper is to propose a business model for a Service and Application provider acting as an intermediary within a regional healthcare ecosystem in the UK. The paper describes the development of Software-as-a-Service Utility (SaaS-U) business model to deliver services and applications and the implications of its use with selected healthcare scenarios.
