Abstract :
In order to analyze the influence of adaptive matching for MIMO applications, the theoretical performance of a Π-matching network with a constant inductance and variable capacitances is explored. An expression for ideal matching is derived and the impact on the correlation factor of a MIMO system is analyzed. Simulations for different scenarios show that the presented concept will lead always to very small reflection factors.
