Abstract
A new heating method using temperature sensitive ferrite with accurate and automatic temperature regulation was developed for interstitial hyperthermia. The temperature characteristics were evaluated and hyperthermia was performed by this method in 13 rats with experimental tumors, and the tumor disappeared in 5 rats. The normal brain of the rat was heated and the device did not damage the normal tissue.
