Abstract :
The carotid sinus region of rats anesthetized with sodium pentobarbital was irradiated directly with 915 MHz microwaves using a coaxial probe applicator. The response was either a decrease in both mean arterial pressure and heart rate or an increase in both mean arterial pressure and heart rate. There was no detectable change in either colonic or tail temperature.
