Abstract :
The formation of an on-axis hologram at the tip of a miniaturized endoscope has been simulated. The reconstruction of the real image from the hologram, collected on a CCD-camera, can be achieved numerically through electronic data processing. Calculations have been performed in order to evaluate the influence on the image quality of the limitations of microendoscopy: limited aperture, sampling through multimode fiber bundle (MMB). The Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) of the system can be derived.
