Abstract
A non-invasive blood pressure monitor was used to compute stroke volume derived from the pulse contour method. The results were compared to stroke volume obtained by measurement in the aorta by various analytic procedures. The best aggreement with the thermodilution method was obtained by using the Kouchoukos equation.
