Abstract :
Based on a complex multi-level compartmentation model of the human penis, the penile arterial tree is modelled at different levels with fractal geometry, with Finite Element Method, with transmission line analogies. The net result is the simulation of the resistance-capacitance mechanisms in the low-pressure compartment of the dorsal artery and in the high-pressure compartment of the cavernous artery; the presence of liatimal cushions into the lumen of the deep dorsal artery modulates the resistance-capacitance distri-teftion inside the pressurized tissue of the corpora cavernosa.
