  • Abstract
In order to study maturation of the Autonomie Nervous System (ANS), we wanted to analyse Heart Rate Variability (HRV) in correlation with other biological signals; searching for a fast way to implement and calibrate the methods we are investigating, we used SIGNAL, a data flow, parallel, synchronous language, designed for real time system programming. This language allows a user to describe the processing of large polygraphic signals at various sampling rates, by expressing relationships among their rhythms. It is suitable for research purposes (assessement of methods with real time simulation) as well as clinical purposes (possible concurrent processing on a multiprocessor).
