Abstract :
Rough, porous and partially active electrodes are often modelled as fractals, and the laws of electrode kinetics are derived accordingly. These theories are surveyed with special emphasis on the time dependence of the diffusion controlled currents towards fractal interfaces and on the impedance of ideally polarizable (capacitive) fractal electrodes.
