Abstract :
The "fast flush test" is commonly used to determine the dynamic response of catheter-manometer systems in-vivo. This test was compared to an established bench top test In vitro. Estimates for the resonant frequency and damping factor of the measurement systems were made for each test. There was a significant linear correlation between the results of the two tests. The fast flush test provides a useful estimate of the dynamic properties of catheter-manometer systems.
