Abstract :
In this paper we briefly survey the changing scenario in health care systems in India. We summarize all aspects of supporting activities, which have given a new impetus to the ´health for all´ movement. The vast demands of health care professionals is bringing a radical change in the medical education. The increased requirements of the sophisticated tools and instruments, has ushered in indegenisation and spur in research and development activities of medical industries. Educating the rural mass and providing them health care facilities is a very challenging task. The Government with its new liberalized policies and individual charitable foundations are now engaged in this battle of providing health care facilities to all by the end of this century.
