Abstract
This paper summarises the author´s endeavour in the recent past in developing a programmable macro electrode array system for transcutaneous stimulation with different types of interrupted midfrequency currents. After a comprehensive study on habituation response at various frequency bands and after elucidating the response at various levels in the therapy, a system has been designed to provide the required stimulation pattern to treat single sited/defused lesions with the aid of macro electrode array. The system has been found effective in treating the lesion without an unpleasant stimulus under the electrode array at optimum intensities.
