Abstract
Continuous variation In the frequency of motor neuron Impulses plays an Important role In normal voluntary muscle control. This paper briefly describes a fully programmable, FES research tool which places no restriction on pulse rate modulation. The system has been especially designed with a view to developing continuous, closed-loop strategies for FES control.
