Abstract :
A portable multichannel electrical stimulation system has been developed to support research in gait assist and electrically stimulated exercise for stroke and spinal cord injured patients. The system and its application are described and future developments are discussed. A companion article in these proceedings describes the clinical research application utilizing this system [1].
