Abstract :
Two new unipolar non-invasive ventricular pacing electrodes have been developed for esothoracic and gastrothoracic cardiac stimulation in conjunction with a high impedance chest electrode. Both pacing pathways are superior to bipolar transoes- ophageal ventricular pacing. The gastrothoracic approach gave the highest success rate (94%) and lowest mean current (15mA).
