Abstract :
Surface EMG signals seriously suffer from location of innervation zones related to surface electrodes. Since the innervation zones shift during dynamic contractions and different subject has different distribution of the innervation zones, it is necessary to estimate the location of the innervation zones. Then we propose a technique estimating the location of an innervation zone during dynamic contractions. The technique is based on multichannel surface EMG measurement and a correlation method using the natural observation theory. The technique was proved by the demonstration of brachial biceps.
