Abstract :
Impedance imaging systems apply currents to the surface of a body, measure the induced voltages on the surface, and from this information reconstruct an approximation to the electrical impedance in the interior of the body. This paper discusses a layer-stripping method for solving the reconstruction problem. The idea is to first find the impedance on the boundary, and then use this information to “strip away” the outermost layer. The process is then repeated, and the medium is stripped away, layer-by-layer. Here we show how to use this method with experimental data.
