Abstract :
Development and application of methods for non invasive mapping of signals from the brain and heart have followed a parallel course. Objectives of ECG and EEG mapping are similar in that both seek to facilitate understanding of normal electrical organ function and to detect and localize abnormal electrical behavior. The two disciplines share similar problems, analyses and approaches which, ultimately, might provide cross-disciplinary benefit.
