Abstract
We present an object-oriented design for a network-distributed 3D medical image volume renderer. We present the basis for the design, the important objects in the design, and their distribution across the network. Rendered images demonstrate that the network-distributed renderer produces the same images as a single processor implementation. Timing results indicate that the network-distributed renderer is 80% faster than a single processor renderer.
