Abstract :
The display of ultrasound images in 3D format enhances the diagnostic usefulness of image data by allowing spatial relationships to be more easily comprehended. Forward-looking intravascular ultrasonic 3D imaging is a modality that may allow intraluminal ultrasonic guidance of intravascular interventional devices. A system that performs the display of this volume data is described.
