Abstract :
Imaging properties of a typical ultrasonic B-scanner were identified and on the bases of them, formalized image restoration algorithms enabling resolution improvement and speckle suppression were designed. The results summarized in this paper support the idea of feasibility of restoration though the complexity of algorithms does not allow for real time implementation with the present technology yet.
