Abstract :
A cmmon technique for image recon­struction in CT and MR tomography is so called Back Projec­tion (BP) algorithm. The weighting function used in first step of this algorithm can be viewed in space domain as a zerophase FIR (Finite Impulse Response) filter, or as realization an idealized magnitude shape (e.g. |ω|). Another realization of |ω| — filters will be presented, with better approximation near the low frequencies.
