Abstract
A novel wideband FSS composite structure is proposed from the aspect of engineering application. The application of C sandwich cascaded structure and Hexagonal loop element with the characteristics of center symmetry in FSS design result in good electrical performance such as high transmission efficiency and wide working frequency band at wide angle of incidence. The measured results show relative bandwidth of the FSS composite structure exceeds 20% (Transmission efficiency >;85%) at various angle of incidence. Center Frequency offset in the pass band is below 0.5GHz at large incident angle of 45°. Inner envelope bandwidth exceeds 16% (Transmission efficiency >;85%) at 0° ~45° incident angle range.
