Abstract
This paper presents an implementation of the single reflector design [3] in a microstrip quad-Yagi array antenna, which is a derivative of the original microstrip Yagi array antenna [6]. The main effects of the single reflector in this kind of patch distributions are the considerable working bandwidth enhancement and a significant nulls attenuation, so that the radiation pattern becomes more homogenous and, therefore, the number of the applications where the antenna can be used get enhanced. Other benefits of single reflector are higher efficiency and higher front - to - back ratio.
