Abstract :
The increase in the number of wind farms as well as their larger sizes lead to an increase in the possibility of interference with nearby radiocommunication systems. As possible disturbances scattering as well as diffraction from the wind turbine structure are considered. The wind turbines that are being installed nowadays are composed of towers with a height of over 80 meters and blades that can be over 40 meters long, see figure 1. Therefore, wind turbines are structures that can be potentially interfering for electromagnetic waves with wavelengths of that order or smaller, as is the case with radiocommunication services operating in VHF band or higher.
