  • Abstract
Metamaterials are usually composed of periodic arrays of inclusions embedded in layered media. Their full-wave numerical characterisation with integral-equation formulations generally requires the accelerated computation of multilayered periodic Green´s functions. An efficient strategy is presented here, able to solve plane-wave incidence problems and carry out rigorous dispersive analyses of two-dimensional structures with periodic cylindrical-type inclusions. Asymptotic terms are extracted from the relevant spectral series and are accelerated with the Ewald method, after suitable modifications depending on the Green´s function component under analysis.
