Abstract :
Radio Frequency (RF) Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) have experienced in last years great progress, which has consequently lead to an enormous development in their circuit applications. The advantages that they present (low insertion loss, large bandwidth and good linearity over frequency) turn them into a good substitution of semiconductor switches. Because of their low insertion loss, they are ideal suited for integration in phase shifters, matching networks and filters. Their use would result from many points of view into a great improvement in performance of reconfigurable systems and multi antenna systems.
