Abstract :
A cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) that is excited using a conformal square spiral strip has been studied theoretically and experimentally. The proposed excitation has provided a measured circular polarization over a bandwidth of ~4.2% in conjunction with an impedance-matching bandwidth of ~14.3% at the same frequency range. The structure has been rigorously modeled using a method of moments (MoM) model, where a good agreement has been achieved between computed and measured results.
