Abstract :
This paper presents the latest development of the modal decomposition equivalent circuit method (MDECM). The method is applied to FSSs loaded with lumped elements. Three approaches have been investigated and the most appropriate one has been chosen. It can be extended for analysis of active FSS operating in the linear stage. This is a valuable development of the method as microwave and millimetre wave active FSSs becomes emerging technologies.
