Abstract
A design of an electrically small Huygens source antenna with linear polarization is proposed. The antenna is comprised of two identical radiating elements which are fed with a certain phase shift in order to obtain the wanted radiation characteristics. The antenna is studied numerically and experimentally and the results confirm that the antenna´s radiation properties, such as directivity and polarization of the radiated fields, are similar to a Huygens source.
