Abstract :
A dual band [2.4-2.48 GHz] and [5.15-5.725 GHz] multi antenna system with high isolation between the access ports is presented in this paper. It is found that isolation of more than -18 dB can be achieved in the two bands between two planar inverted-F antennas (PIFAs) sharing a common ground plane, with inter-antenna spacing of 0.016λ0 for the lower band. The isolation between the two elements is reduced by the insertion of slots on the ground plane. The proposed system gives good diversity performance results.
