Abstract :
In this paper, a compact multi-band MIMO antenna design is proposed for three-dimensional full coverage. The antenna is composed of three elements which are positioned on the oblique surfaces of a polyhedron. Using slanted multiple elements, the antenna is able to provide an omni-directional coverage in both the azimuth and elevation planes. The antenna operates over multiple frequency bands, which include the 2.4-2.5 GHz, 4.94-4.99 GHz (FCC Public Safety band), 5.15-5.35 GHz, 5.47-5.725 GHz, 5.725-5.875 GHz bands, with good impedance matching of |S11|≤ -10 dB, isolation of more than 15 dB as well as stable radiation patterns.
