Abstract :
Modal methods are effectively used to design dual band fractal patch antenna. This contribution summarizes the workflow from generating fractal motif through choosing proper feeding to final antenna completion. As an antenna´s feeding and matching structure, dual L-probe was proposed to widen its bandwidth. Moreover, the polarizations on operating bands are mutually orthogonal. This behavior is easily explained by modal decomposition of the surface currents. Antenna was fabricated and measured.
