Abstract :
Department of Radio Science and Engineering at Aalto University is studying and developing antenna measurement techniques at mm- and submm-wavelengths. The research projects are ranging from meter-scale satellite antenna testing to millimetre-sized focal plane array (FPA) element characterization for imaging application. The expertise and novel results gained in the abovementioned research are made available to doctoral students and antenna engineers in the frame of the European School of Antennas (ESoA). Aalto University has been responsible for organizing a course “Antenna measurements at millimetre and submillimetre wavelengths” biannually, the next course taking place in May 2011.
