Abstract :
Over the last few years we have put a great effort on designing metamaterials aided by extraordinary transmission. This groundwork has led to low-loss extraordinary transmission metamaterials (also known as fishnet structure at optical frequencies) which have been demonstrated not only experimentally, but also they have been employed for real applications such as (de)multiplexing or polarization conversion. The next stepping-stone on the way to further demonstrate the industrial-potential of stacked cut-off hole arrays is to design, manufacture and measure lenses.
