Abstract :
A generalised approach to achieving beam steering and adaptive nulling in conjunction with prescribed low sidelobe levels in a time-modulated linear array is presented. The technique is relies solely on time-switching of the array elements and does require the use of phase shifters or amplitude weighting of the array elements. Numerical examples relating to a 16 element linear array are presented to show adaptive beamforming at the first and second harmonic frequencies.
