System for remote patient monitoring and data collection with applicability on E-health applications

The paper presents a new system used for patient telemonitoring. The system is for ambulatory use and the physician has the possibility to monitor the patient state. The patient health state is measured by means of several dedicated wireless sensors, which values are saved into a local database. All new values that the local database stores in are periodically sent to the physician server and displayed into a graphical manner. Additional data analysis is performed in order to extract complex information regarding the patient health. Several alarms are also raised if some of the patient monitored parameters overpass the normal limits. The benefits are in terms of continuous supervision of a patient even he/she performs the undergoing treatment ambulatory.
