Abstract
A great amount of CAD drawings have been accumulated with extensive use of CAD technology. It is urgent to manage and reuse the CAD drawings scientifically. A new method of CAD drawing management based on content pieces is purposed in this paper. First the overview and workflow of this method are simply presented, then the topological structure of this method and the key technologies related to the realization of this method such as the content pieces treatment, the reuse of the content pieces and the conversion between xml schema and the CAD drawing file, are analyzed in details, Finally the properties and application of this method are depicted which verify that the method is effective.
