            Abstract : 
This paper discusses the maximum likelihood estimator and moment estimator for the two-parameter gamma distribution based on progressive type-I interval censored sample. We obtained the maximum likelihood estimator and moment estimator using the EM algorithm and numerical method, respectively. We made comparisons these estimations using a Monte Carlo simulation in terms of relative errors and mean squared errors.
