  • Abstract
    This annunciator is a GPRS-based mobile embedded device for housing security device. On house side, it consists of a camera module, a wireless module, and a Surveillance module. On the user side, only a MMS mobile phone is needed. The annunciator in this paper is based on speech recognition and multimedia message transmission technologies and can send the multimedia message, after being trigged by speaker-dependent speech to ask for help. The result shows that the user can ask for help in undertone to send a distress signal with a live picture through wireless networks.
