Abstract :
The article presents problematic of sensor node design of wireless sensors networks (WSN). Detailed analysis covers topics related to functions, requirements and architectures of WSN sensor nodes. Basic units of mote are discussed in clear way. Example of road transportation application utilizing sensor node is presented as well. Architecture of mote developed at the Department of technical cybernetics is presented in the paper. Practical experienced from design, development and experiments are discussed as well.
