Abstract
Energy efficiency in the telecoms market is primarily driven from the different factors. A main factor is a major thrust to cover new potential markets in rural and remote areas where there is no grid or bad grid. The next one is an increased need to reduce cost and emissions and the last one would be a drive to protect the environment. The paper explains an approach to solve mentioned challenges, starting with site audit, modernization, optimization, operation and real time consumption measuring, energy procurement processes and environmental regulatory frames. In particular the paper discusses how to come to optimum and green energy efficiency by engineering innovative solutions.
