Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of a real-time sound source localization system for automatic camera steering. Multilateration method is used for localization using an array of six microphones arranged in a symmetrical geometry. Serving as a good option for real-time applications, the time difference of arrival (TDOA) calculation is based on the computation of generalized cross correlation phase transform (GCC-PHAT).
