Abstract :
Application audit is crucial to organizations or persons who take application systems as bases of their work and life, but it is also very difficult due to the diversity of applications. Current approaches of audit modeling do not consider audit models from software behavior level, they are only applicable to specific applications, being lack of agile and widespread popularity. In this paper, we propose an approach of behavior-based audit modeling of application system. Petri net are used to simulate application system behaviors, by which we analyze application behaviors and build audit model. And a case study, using the approach we proposed, will be put forward and analyzed. At last we propose our audit record format related to application audit. Compared to other researches, our approach can be widely used to audit of general applications, and also can be adjusted flexibly to diversity of audit granularity requirements. In addition, the audit record we designed is benefit to the analysis of application audit.
