Abstract
Volleyball Information System (VIS) is an information system that was built to be used as a support for the conduct of volleyball competitions, as well as the support for informing the public about volleyball. The system is composed of a central database where all the data is stored and of a set of web portals through which the authorized users can enter data into the system and through which the stored data is clearly presented to the public. This paper presents the case study of Croatian Volleyball Information System. The architecture, functionality and importance of the designed system are described.
